In the position of Student Assessor, you will develop yourself to become a full-fledged advisory member of the Management Team in two phases:
Year 1 (Sep 2020 – Aug 2021): Advisory member of the Executive Education Committee of TiSEM .
In the first year, you focus mainly on education-related matters. You are a member of the Executive Education Committee of TiSEM, chaired by the Vice Dean Education. You are responsible for the communication with students of the Education Committees. You work closely with the other Student Assessor at TiSEM (advisory member of the Management Team); together you work on strategic student- and education-related projects within the School and together you communicate and liaise with MAK, Asset and the Smeetskring.
Year 2 (Sep 2021-Aug 2022): Advisory member of the Management Team of TiSEM .
In the second year, you focus on the general administrative level of TiSEM. You attend the weekly meetings of the School Management Team. As advisory member of the Management Team you are also present at MTâs meetings with the Heads of Departments and the Faculty Council. You are responsible for communication with the student fraction(s) in the Faculty Council. You help to recruit students for student positions within TiSEM. You work closely with the other Student Assessor of TiSEM (advisory member of the Executive Education Committee): together you work on strategic student- and education-related projects within the School and together you communicate and liaise with MAK, Asset and the Smeetskring.
Both years you are a linking pin between the students and the School. Your independence and binding capacity are paramount in this respect.
You have strong analytical skills and are able to think strategically. You are a person of integrity. You liaise well with others and have the ability to organize and connect. During your appointment as student assessor, you will not be a member of any representation body of Tilburg University or the Asset/MAK and Smeetskring Boards.

- 0.3 FTE position as student assistant for a period of 12 months in the academic year 2020/2021 with the prospect of renewal for a second year.
- Salary in accordance with the relevant grade for student assistants according to the collective labor agreement (CLA) Dutch Universities. The salary to be granted to a student-assistant is determined by the number of ECTS credits attained. A minimum of 60 ECTS attained is required for the position of student assistant.
- Holiday allowance (8% in May), and end-of-year bonus (8.3% in December).
- All university employees are covered by the so-called civil servants pension fund (ABP).
