Overview

CSU Global is seeking a Student Accounts Generalist to join our highly dynamic, customer-focused Student Accounts Office, which is dedicated to delivering a seamless student experience and ensuring that students remain in good financial standing with the University. The Student Accounts Generalist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students, achieving goals and expectations, and completing work in an accurate and timely manner. This role is responsible for answering student questions about the payment process specific to their circumstances. The Student Accounts Generalist will be responsible for working with students through inbound phone, email and chat correspondence to ensure student questions are answered thoroughly and efficiently. Additionally, this role is responsible for completing outreach campaigns to collect required documentation, set up payment plans, or resolve account issues. The Student Accounts Generalist will work with students to ensure that student’s files are complete prior to term drop date and account statuses are properly maintained. The successful candidate will be highly accountable, results driven, and focused on doing the right thing for students. This position reports to the Manager of Student Financial Services.

Job Duties/Performance Objectives:
  • Ensure timely response to all student and staff communications
  • Respond to all emails with 24 hours
  • Review and complete assigned activities within required SLA, including updating account statuses
  • Ensures that work is being completed accurately and timely according to policies and procedures
  • Achieve 95% quality assurance score on all file and communication reviews
  • Maintain availability across all systems to assist students with their accounts
  • Attain 90% phone availability or higher during assigned work hours
  • Meet at least a 95% connect rate for all incoming calls
  • Complete outreach campaigns to support students in resolving account issues.

Qualifications

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university
  • Three to five years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • 1-2 years of account collections experience preferred
  • 1-2 years experience working with student ledgers, stipends, invoicing and billing preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to efficiently multi-task
  • Intermediate level experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with students, faculty, and administration
  • Experience working with CampusVue/CampusNexus

  • Effective Problem-solving and critical thinking skills are required

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Total Compensation:

$15 per hour + DEO
