How You’ll Make a Difference:

As nursing students, you feel called to help your community. As we continued to monitor and do our part to stem the spread of COVID-19, we had to make decisions to end clinical rotations. But you’re caregivers and many of you have reached out to ask how you can help your community during this extraordinary time of need. Here is your chance to help make a difference in your community and put your nursing skills to use. Advocate Aurora is creating a temporary staffing pool to accommodate the needs of our health system during this unique time of need. Based on your level of education and CNA certification, we will be able to place you in a CNA or similar role. This float position will require nursing students to be agile, adaptable and flexible as you will float to sites and departments of need. We will work with you on sites based on your location so it’s convenient for you. As nursing students, you will have the opportunity to interact with many hiring leaders, help on various units and help our community through this unprecedented time.

Please remember, these positions are being created to help with the COVID-19 surge in patient populations and you may be caring for patients who have been exposed. You may be monitoring temperatures, working in pop-up testing tents, doing CNA work on the units, or restocking supplies on units. We are open and flexible to your needs based on school schedules and welcome your help for as long as you can.
