Creates an atmosphere of effective, efficient, friendly and reliable service, providing an easy, accessible, credible resource from which individuals can access information. Performs duties necessary to ensure exceptional student service and support a diverse range of administrative support services at the campus level.
Contact with students, prospective students, parents and families, college visitors, faculty and staff in areas of Assessment, Access, Advising, Career and Employment Services and Grant-funded programs. May operate desktop computer, telephone, printer, student information system (Banner), Shortel phone system, scheduling software (Outlook), tracking software (Accutrack), campus online calendar and Microsoft Office, Higher One ID (Student ID) program.
Specific Responsibilities for Library:
Organize and sensitize library materials for shelving.
Assist with answering phones and transferring calls.
Shelving library materials using the Dewey Decimal System
Assist in maintaining collection order by shelf reading.
Assist various staff/faculty with projects requiring skills such as organization, counting, preparing envelopes for mail labeling.
Assists in gathering materials for inter-campus and MOBIUS mail.
Keeps printers loaded with paper.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Currently enrolled college or university student with a High School diploma or equivalent, over three (3) months of relevant full-time experience, or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
